Telus International, a world-leading communications and information technology company which delivers next-generation digital solutions for global brands, entered into a share purchase agreement on 5 December 2019 for the acquisition of Competence Call Center (CCC), which provides value-added business process outsourcing (BPO) solutions in 11 countries, including Turkey, from European private equity firm Ardian. The transaction is expected to close within the first quarter of 2020 after regulatory approvals are obtained. Pakosy acted as local counsel to Telus International for Turkish aspects of the transaction, with Shearman & Sterling acting as global counsel. The project was led by Paksoy’s Corporate/M&A partner Stéphanie Beghe Sönmez, together with Corporate/M&A associate Miray Cura. Paksoy’s Antitrust/Competition team, led by partner Togan Turan, advised on the merger clearance filing. The project also required particular input from the real estate team.
