Black graduated the University of Miami in 1970 where he received an undergraduate in 1967 as well as a Juris doctor at the University of Miami School of Law.  After his graduation in 1970, he scored the highest score possible on his Florida Bar Exam. He is a civil and criminal defence attorney who boasts over 40 years of experience.

In his first years post-graduation, Black worked as an assistant public defender for a short time, followed closely by working as an adjunct professor in criminal evidence at the University in Miami in 1973.

Currently acting as a senior partner of Kornspan & Stumpf, a firm specialising in civil litigation and criminal defence, Mr Black has represented clients such as William Kennedy, Albertson’s Inc and Helio Castroneves. Representing such high profile clients has earned him of being known for “the best national reputation in Florida”.

He appeared in a short reality TV show aired on NBC named “The Law Firm” in which lawyers would go against each other on a real case, with real judges and juries present, as well as real clients. The cases results would be legally binding for both parties. It had a total of 1 season and 8 episodes.

He now teaches advanced criminal evidence in the university he went to in his younger years, University of Miami. Mr. Black once served as NBC’s legal analyst on “The Today Show,” and has also appeared on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” where he would provide commentary on the current legal cases in the news
