Artentik is a marketplace for non-fungible tokens (NFTs), which are registered on the Ethereum blockchain network and linked to images relating to art, relics, sculptures, artefacts and other objects of cultural significance, and which are authenticated by Santa Casa da Misericordia de Lisboa. It is the world’s first digital marketplace for religious relics in an NFT format. Abreu Advogados advised on all legal aspects related to the creation and development of this platform, including interaction with supervisory authorities on virtual asset service providers, contracting with crypto-asset minting providers, crypto-asset exchange and interplanetary file system providers, development of terms and conditions, definition of rights associated with NFTs and tax analysis of the entire operation.
