Under the terms of the agreement, CMA CGM acquired 100% of Colis Prive from current majority owner Hopps Group and online retail giant Amazon which held the remaining share. The value of the planned transaction was not disclosed.
Colis Prive delivers parcels for eCommerce clients to homes and pick-up points. In 2021 the company generated sales of around €270 million and core earnings of €27 million while expanding into the Belgian and Luxembourg markets. This year it plans to enter other markets, a move that CMA CGM hopes to boost.
