The Strawberry Fields Nursery and Preschool, based in Chorley in Lancashire, has capacity for 110 children and boasts amenities including a café and a swimming academy, creating an additional revenue stream for the business and differentiating its market offering. The nursery plans to use growth capital gained from OakNorth Bank to launch a buy and build strategy which will expand its portfolio of nurseries with swimming academies.
RedRose Leisure Group, owner of Strawberry Fields and other nurseries within the group, lauded the securing of growth funds. “I thought applying for a bank loan would be harder than fighting fires, but with OakNorth Bank, it proved to be a simple and enjoyable process,” said director Simon Redwood in a statement.
The Lawrence Stephens team comprised associates Milana Katz who handled the banking aspects of this transaction and Stavros Theophilou spearheading the property due diligence.
