Gary Lineker's tree surgeon nephew, 'crushed to death by falling trunk'

Gary Lineker's 18-year-old nephew tragically died when a tree trunk fell on him while he was working as a tree surgeon, according to an inquest. Jonty Parkinson, who was the nephew-in-law of the Match of the Day host through his first marriage to Michelle, suffered a fatal injury to his abdomen during the accident in Oxfordshire. The inquest, which began last week at Oxford Coroner's Court, revealed that Mr. Parkinson, from Coln St. Aldwyns, Cirencester, passed away on Friday, September 6.

A Gofundme page has been set up for Mr Parkinson's family and has raised more than £30,000.  The inquest heard that Mr Parkinson was working as a tree surgeon when he was struck by a falling tree. Following a post-mortem, his cause of death was given as a crush injury to the abdomen.
