Polskie ePlatnosci’s Acquisition of Team4U
ANSWER Wojciechowski & Partners advised Team4U on its sale of a majority stake in its business to Polskie ePlatnosci.
Wiercinski Kwiecinski Baehr advised the buyer.
Team4U is the owner of Simapka, a mobile application that enables its users to register SIM cards, buy gift cards and credit top-ups, transfer phone numbers between operators and tap into financial services including loans and insurance.
Polskie ePlatnosci is a subsidiary of Nexi Group and a payment card operator with operations across Europe. With its acquisition of Simapka, the company will increase its ability to provide clients with modern mobile technologies and a greater range of Android services, further diversifying its income streams. Polskie ePlatnosci vice-president of M&A Monika Gaszewska stated the company’s intention to “build an ecosystem in which payment will be only one of many elements”.
The ANSWER team comprised partners Bartosz Wojciechowski and Kamila Kozera, associate Elzbieta Bialobrodzka-Skrzypiec and junior associate Anna Zawadzka.
