+Simple’s Expansion in Italy
Spalla e Araneo Studio Legale Associato has advised MARINTEC on the sale of its business to +Simple Agency Italia.
Marintec is a Genova-based underwriting agency founded in 2000 and specialised in the intermediation and underwriting of risks in medical professions, with a network of more than 100 distributors.
+Simple Agency Italia is the Italian subsidiary of +Simple, a platform of digital insurance brokerage currently expanding in the European market. Its acquisition of MARINTEC comes as part of its further expansion into the Italian market.
Spalla e Araneo’s team was led by partners Michele Spalla (M&A) and Mario Araneo (labour law), along with support from two associates. Andrea Bonfanti acted as the financial advisor of Marintec.
Plusiders advised the buyer along with a team led by partners Paolo Puri, Maurizio Fraschini and Andrea Verniers, supported by two associates. Fides Corporate Finance and DMG Law also advised the buyer.
