Project Informatica, an Italian IT firm and portfolio company of HIG Europe, has acquired Sinthera, a system integrator with expertise in cloud- and container-based architectures.

HIG Europe is the European affiliate of HIG. Capital, a leading global private equity investment firm with more than €34 billion of equity capital under management. HIG has extensive experience in the IT industry, having completed 30 transactions globally.

Founded in 1990 and based in Stezzano, Project Informatica is a leading company in the Italian IT industry, with 230 employees and revenues of more than €130 million. The company uses advanced technologies to support its customers in the digital transformation of business processes, offering both hardware and software solutions in addition to related IT services. This new acquisition is expected to support the further development of the company, as HIG aims to capitalise on both organic and inorganic growth opportunities.

Sinthera was advised on the negotiations of the terms and conditions of the agreement by senior lawyer Eugenio Forni of Studio Legale Forni, Perri e Associati. The law firm stated: “both companies, their directors and shareholders were highly motivated to reach an agreement, which helped them overcome impasses during negotiations, with excellent results for everyone.”
