ADM’s Investment in Acies Bio

Selih & Partners advised ADM on its investment in precision fermentation company Acies Bio.

The company was advised on the deal by solo practitioner Klemen Ticar.

ADM is a New York-listed multinational company involved in food and commodities, agricultural origination and processing. Acies Bio is a Slovenia-based biotechnology company that specialises in R&D and manufacturing services for developing and scaling synthetic biology and precision fermentation technologies for food, agriculture, and industrial applications.

ADM expects that its investment in Acies Bio will help it to advance projects in precision microbial fermentation nby way of “leveraging Acies Bio’s extensive microbial capabilities and contract manufacturing services.” The investment is being made through ADM Ventures, ADM’s corporate venture capital arm.
