Latham & Watkins Advises Metro Power Company on its US$131.5 Million 50-MW Wind Power Project in Pakistan

Latham & Watkins advised Metro Power Company, Infraco Asia and the other shareholders, on the US$131.5 million project financing of a 50-MW wind power project in Jhimpir, Sindh Province, Pakistan.

This wind power project will help meet the rising electricity demand in Pakistan and provide an extra 270,000 people with environmentally friendly power every year.

The project is being financed by Eco Trade and Development Bank, the International Finance Corporation, National Bank of Pakistan and United Bank.

The Latham & Watkins team was led by Singapore partner Stephen McWilliams supported by associates Maree Myerscough and Timothy Bogle.
