Attorney Elisa L. Paster joins Glaser Weil as Partner

The Los Angeles-based law firm Glaser Weil announced that Elisa L. Paster has joined the firm’s Government and Regulatory Law Practice Group as a Partner. Ms. Paster represents developers, land owners, investors and municipal governments in all aspects of land use and entitlement matters, including CEQA, Subdivision Map Act, Planning and Zoning Law compliance, redevelopment areas and development agreements.

Ms. Paster has significant experience entitling a wide range of real estate projects, from urban infill to mixed-use Master Planned Communities, and has successfully defended those projects against litigation challenges in trial and appellate courts.

“Elisa possesses expertise in guiding individuals and businesses through the complex intricacies of our legislative and regulatory systems,” said Glaser Weil Managing Partner Peter Weil. “Her breadth of land use and entitlement experience will be of immeasurable value to the firm’s clients.”

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Paster was a Partner with the law firm of Gilchrist & Rutter, a Professional Corporation. She worked as an urban planner and policy analyst for five years prior to entering law school.  She is actively involved in her community, both professionally and personally, including serving as the President of Westside Urban Forum, the Secretary and Board Member of the Menorah Housing Foundation, Executive Committee Member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Real Estate Section, and 2014 Vice Co-Chair of the Benjamin S. Crocker Symposium on Real Estate Law and Business, as well as being a member of the Urban Land Institute and American Planning Association. She has been included on the list of Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars for three consecutive years.

Ms. Paster obtained her J.D. from the University of New Mexico, her Master of Science degree in Urban Planning at the University of College of London, Bartlett School of Architecture, and her Bachelor’s degree at Bryn Mawr College. She is admitted to practice law in California, New Mexico and Missouri.
