28 Jan, 2014

King & Wood Mallesons SJ Berwin has advised a development consortium, including Hallam Land, David Wilson Homes and Davidsons Developments, on negotiating the section 106 agreement required, with Blaby District Council and Leicestershire County Council, to secure planning permission for the New Lubbesthorpe development, which includes 4,250 new homes, retail uses, community facilities, schools and employment land to the west of Leicester.

Simon Ricketts (pictured), Planning & Environment partner at King & Wood Mallesons SJ Berwin said: “There is a massive and urgent need for new housing in this country. I have been proud to be associated with this complex project. The planning permission is the outcome of several years of careful work with the district and county council and is one of a series of similar scale developments on which we are instructed at present”.

The King & Wood Mallesons SJ Berwin team was led by partner Simon Ricketts.
