CMS Cameron McKenna announces Penelope Warne as Senior Partner

CMS Cameron McKenna has elected Penelope Warne as Senior Partner.  She is the firm’s first female Senior Partner and her four year term starts in May 2014.

Having joined the firm in 1993, Penelope has held a number of leadership positions and is currently Managing Director UK and Head of Energy. Her practice spans the globe, advising clients in the oil and gas industry in the North Sea, the US, Norway, Brazil, EMEA and Russia.

She has set up offices in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Rio de Janeiro, Dubai and Mexico.

Penelope takes over from Dick Tyler who has been Senior Partner since 2011 and was previously Managing Partner of the firm and Executive Partner of CMS, based in Frankfurt.

Penelope Warne comments: “It is a privilege to be elected as Senior Partner. My priorities are to ensure that our clients get an exceptional service and that our partners and staff thrive in a supportive and dynamic culture.”

Dick Tyler comments: “It’s been an honour to be in leadership roles for as long as 14 years. I am very pleased with what we’ve achieved. The firm and I are both ready for a change now.”
