Two new team members with a wealth of experience have been welcomed to Blake Lapthorn’s corporate team.
Ian Robino, who joined Blake Lapthorn as a Senior Associate in July, is an experienced commercial solicitor and former legal director of Vodafone UK.
Before joining Blake Lapthorn, Ian played a key role in Vodafone’s success as it grew from a small UK-based mobile telecoms operator to a worldwide telecoms. He has a varied background in non-contentious commercial matters including high value, multinational and multi-faceted IT and Telecoms-related transactions and many years’ experience of establishing and managing in-house legal teams as an integral part of the business.
Steven Bull, who has just joined Blake Lapthorn, is a solicitor who specialises in a range of corporate transactions including company and business acquisitions and disposals and corporate restructurings. He also regularly advises on company matters such as start-ups, shareholder agreements and corporate governance issues. He deals with a broad spectrum of clients including individuals, owner-managed and family run companies, and larger corporate firms.
James Hawkeswood, head of Blake Lapthorn’s South Coast Corporate Team, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Ian and Steve. It is always great to see new recruits joining the team, bringing in fresh ideas and demonstrating our continued growth in terms of both numbers and expertise.
“Steve’s skill set is all about helping local entrepreneurs and companies achieve their aims, and as someone who trained and qualified in the region it will be great to see him working alongside our other lawyers, further enhancing our reputation in the region’s business community. Ian, with the wealth of commercial experience he has from his time at Vodafone, not to mention his expertise in telecoms and intellectual property, is a fantastic addition to our team.”
