Weightmans launches new family law department in Birmingham

National law firm Weightmans has continued its rapid expansion by welcoming a new team of specialist family lawyers operating from their Birmingham office, offering family law advice from the Midlands for the first time.
The new team of three lawyers and one member of support staff arrived at Weightmans’ St Philip’s Point base this week. Fiona O’Sullivan has joined the firm as Consultant, Tania Derrett-Smith as Associate and Louise Jackson as Solicitor.
The Weightmans Family law team is one of the most highly regarded in the North West and is ranked in the first tier for Family law in the 2012 edition of Legal 500 and in the 2013 edition of Chambers & Partners.
Fiona will be heading up the family department in Birmingham. Ranked in the legal directories as a top tier lawyer, Fiona is known for her ‘clear, concise and very sympathetic’ manner and is experienced in advising on the pensions aspects of financial settlements.
