Global law firm White & Case LLP has further strengthened its debt capital markets offering in Italy with the addition of Paola Leocani as a partner in the Milan office.
“Paola is a top-tier debt capital markets lawyer who is regularly ranked as a leading individual in the Italian market. She brings DCM, liability management and regulatory experience to our already strong international practice in the Milan office,” said Michael Immordino, Executive Partner of the White & Case Milan Office.
“At a time when companies are resorting more to the capital markets instead of the traditional bank credit market, Paola’s excellent reputation and legal skills will be particularly beneficial to White & Case clients. Her arrival will allow us to present our clients with a unique offering of US, UK and Italian top tier legal advice in Italy across the full spectrum of capital markets products.”
Ms. Leocani joins White & Case from Allen & Overy in Milan. Her practice covers a wide range of products within capital markets, with a focus on international and retail debt and derivatives securities, liability management transactions and regulatory matters. Her experience covers bank funding expertise and she assists corporate clients and investment banks. Ms. Leocani regularly works with industry associations, market authorities and exchanges in the reform of securities law matters.
“The growth of our global capital markets practice is one of the Firm’s strategic priorities and we are pleased that Paola has joined us to support this growth,” said Stuart Matty, Head of the Global Capital Markets Practice. “Our DCM platform in Western Europe will benefit from her understanding of the Italian and international markets as we continue to build a multi-faceted capital markets platform,” Matty added.
