Kelly takes on new STEP role

Kelly Greig, head of the Court of Protection team at leading regional law firm Moore Blatch has been appointed as deputy chair of the STEP UK Practice Committee.

STEP, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners is a national body for practitioners working in the private client arena. 

Kelly has been a committee member of the UK practice committee for the last 18 months and said she was delighted with her new post.

“I am pleased to be appointed to this role where I feel I can help others working in this area on a practical basis as well as raising awareness on the impact of legislation at such a high level.’’

Kelly has been a student liaison officer of the West of England branch of STEP for the last three years, helping student members become full members.

The purpose of the committee is to represent practitioners by lobbying on their behalf to changes in the law, responding to consultations and issuing practical guidance to all members in the area of this work.

Entry to STEP is by diploma exam or thesis and represents a quality mark shown that the individual member is an expert in their field.

Kelly is based at Moore Blatch’s Lymingtion office.
