01 May, 2013
Winston & Strawn attorney Fabio Falconi has been promoted to Of Counsel in the firm’s London office. Mr. Falconi was previously an associate and will continue his work with the firm’s competition practice. He has also worked in the competition departments of Dewey & LeBoeuf, Linklaters, and Freshfields.
Mr. Falconi advises on all aspects of European Union, United Kingdom and Italian competition laws with a particular focus on cartels, merger control and compliance activities in a number of sectors. He has been ranked in Chambers Global 2012 and 2013 under “Other Notable Practitioners” in “Competition/European Law: UK.”
“Those of us who know and work closely with Fabio are very pleased with his well deserved promotion,” said Peter Crowther, partner in the firm’s London office. “Fabio’s promotion is in line with expected growth for the competition practice and expanding the firm’s footprint in Europe.”
Mr. Falconi’s promotion follows the announcement of the firm’s plans for a Brussels office. The new office is scheduled to officially open its doors by June 2013 and is the sixteenth global office for the firm and fifth in Europe. Led by Mr. Crowther, a prominent antitrust and competition lawyer, the Winston & Strawn Brussels office will put the firm at the forefront of European competition law developments.
