Michelmores builds Bristol private client team
10 May, 2013
Michelmores’ award-winning private client practice has been augmented with the recruitment of a high-profile team for its recently established Bristol office.
Headed by trusts, tax and wealth management specialist Sandra Brown, who joins as the firm’s 57th partner, Michelmores has also recruited solicitor Edward Porter and Trust Manager Jenny O’Neill from the same former Osborne Clarke team.
Michelmores, a previous winner of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners Private Client UK & Ireland Regional Team of the Year, is already recognised as one of the leading private client firms outside London.
The firm’s vision is to grow its national and international Private Client practice with the help of the Bristol office, which in November 2012 saw the arrival of the nationally renowned 4 partner Agriculture Team from Wilsons. The Agriculture Team has since seen the additions of partner Tom Hyde, from Clark Willmott, and solicitors Jessica Piper-Thompson and Nick Robinson.
Will Michelmore, Senior Partner and Head of Michelmores’ Private Client Team, said:
“Our aim is to build rapidly on the existing practice, and recruit more top class Private Client lawyers into the Bristol office. Sandra is nationally recognised as a leader in her field and is an important lateral hire in terms of Michelmores’ future ambitions.”
“She is a trusted adviser to business owners, entrepreneurs and landed estates and she advises offshore trustees and complementary service providers. She also brings with her a very talented support team.”
Sandra’s appointment is further evidence of Michelmores’ continued growth, with the firm now numbering over 350, with offices in London, Bristol and Exeter.
