GSC Solicitors boosts real estate capability with new partner and senior associate appointments

London City law firm GSC Solicitors LLP, has announced the appointment of partner Kevin Bichard and senior associate Carole Joseph who are both joining the firm’s high profile real estate team. Carole Joseph joined the firm in February 2013 from Quastel Midgen LLP and Kevin Bichard joined on 04 March 2013 from Howard Kennedy.
Kevin Bichard was previously a partner at Howard Kennedy where he was a senior member of the Commercial Property team, and was previously a partner and head of investment property at Malkins, who merged with Howard Kennedy in 1999.
He has extensive experience of dealing with all forms of commercial and residential property, from the point of view of the occupier and the investor with a specific focus on investment acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant and development. He also advises on enfranchisement and rights to extended leases on residential flats.
Carole Joseph joins the firm from Quastel Midgen LLP where she was a consultant and previously she was part of the real estate group at Halliwells. She has experience of all aspects of commercial and residential property particularly acting for high net worth individuals as well landlords, banks, corporate occupiers, restaurants and selling agents. She has specific expertise in buying and selling properties, landlord and tenant work, corporate support, property finance and representing property companies in debenture reorganisations. Corporate clients include: JPMorgan Chase Bank, Comscore Europe Limited, Cru International Limited, Rosebury Properties and Roust Trading.
These two senior appointments are part of the expansion of GSC’s highly regarded real estate team at a time when many firms are contracting. The firm is expanding rapidly in specialist sectors and emerging markets and as well as expanding the real estate team, has also developed a significant tax practice led by barrister Alastair Wilson, and which has most recently appointed Tessa Lorimer from HMRC to boost their tax litigation and controversy capability.
