Davenport Lyons expands family team

West End law firm, Davenport Lyons is pleased to announce that leading Family lawyers Philip Rutter and Geoffrey Rutter have joined the firm.

 

Philip has joined the firm as a Partner and Geoffrey as a Consultant in our Family team from Collyer Bristow. Philip and Geoffrey are third and second generation Family lawyers respectively.

 

Philip is a Family partner with over 20 years’ experience.  He has particular expertise and experience in claims for financial provision on divorce for HNW individuals, often involving cases with international, tax and trust issues, family businesses and offshore assets; pre and post-nuptial agreements, frequently to protect trust and inherited assets; private children disputes, including financial claims on behalf of children, residence, contact and specific issues; cohabitation agreements and disputes.

 

Geoffrey has many years experience in Family law, principally involving substantial financial issues resulting from marriage breakdown. He has considerable knowledge and experience in the investigative elements of domestic and international work including offshore trusts and structures. His international practice includes advising on forum issues. He regularly advises on the commercial and tax considerations involved in financial negotiations and settlements.
