Mishcon de Reya expands its cross-border litigation and dispute resolution capabilities in New York

15 Jan, 2013

Leading law firm Mishcon de Reya has today announced the continued growth of its U.S. capability with the appointment of Partner Kenneth E. Aldous, who joined the firm’s New York office on January 2, 2013.

Having served in-house as Head of Litigation and Employment for BT Americas Inc. (a subsidiary of British Telecommunications plc) and Litigation Counsel for NYSE Euronext, Ken spent twelve years in private practice at Proskauer Rose LLP, a global law firm.  While at Proskauer, he represented a wide array of diverse interests in complex litigation before various federal and state courts, as well as in domestic and international arbitration.  After qualifying to practice as a solicitor in the UK, Ken left Proskauer in 2011 to found his own law firm, from which he now joins Mishcon.

As a seasoned litigator with dual qualifications, Ken’s broad experience across an array of commercial litigation forums reinforces and complements his focus on international, multi-jurisdictional and cross-border dispute resolution.  As a result, Ken offers Mishcon and its clients valuable expertise and perspective in the ever-emerging world of transatlantic dispute resolution.

Commenting on his appointment, Ken said: “Mishcon de Reya’s excellent reputation and international reach speak for themselves, and I am excited to have the opportunity to help develop its growing offerings in both the U.S. and UK.”

James J McGuire, Managing Partner of Mishcon de Reya New York, said: “Ken’s appointment is a great boost for our practice and for our continued focus on commercial and international litigation. We’re very pleased to welcome him on board.”

Kas Nouroozi, Mishcon’s Head of Dispute Resolution in London, added: “Ken’s dual qualification and significant experience in transatlantic dispute resolution makes him a real asset to Mishcon. We’re delighted he has joined us.”
