Linklaters launches Women’s Leadership Programme
27 Sep, 2012
Linklaters has launched a pioneering initiative to develop the talents of its female lawyers.
Recognising the challenges of attracting and retaining top female associates, the Women’s Leadership Programme will provide a structured means of targeting those with the strongest potential as early as possible.
Starting with a pilot across its offices in London and continental Europe, the initiative has been developed in conjunction with Cranfield School of Management, and will consist of a series of events, structured learning and coaching sessions spread over six months starting in November 2012.
There are 25 places available to women managing associates who represent these European offices.
Christa Band, a partner in Linklaters’ litigation practice, said: “As a firm we are keen to do whatever we can to motivate, inspire and support our women lawyers. This programme is one of a number of initiatives and we hope that it will provide a structure for the support and further development of our most talented women.”
Vanessa Havard-Williams, a partner in Linklaters’ environment practice, added: “Cranfield School of Management has an outstanding reputation for delivering leadership programmes for women and was the obvious choice to help us put this programme into place.”
