DAC Beachcroft and Andersons combine to launch DAC Beachcroft Scotland
05 Sep, 2012
Andersons Solicitors LLP, a leading Scottish insurance legal practice, has merged this week with international law firm DAC Beachcroft to form DAC Beachcroft Scotland.
The move creates a seamless cross-border service for UK insurers and will significantly strengthen the market reach of both firms in the UK and overseas.
With Andersons’ core focus on litigation and dispute resolution, the two firms already share a number of relationships with existing clients. This merger aims to strengthen and grow their combined offering to these clients and to attract new business through a consistent approach to claims across the jurisdictions of Scotland, England and Wales.
DAC Beachcroft Scotland, which has offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh, will have nine partners and 18 lawyers supported by a network of over 2,000 people. Andersons’ Chairman, Gilbert Anderson, will take up the role of Senior Partner of DAC Beachcroft Scotland.
DAC Beachcroft Senior Partner, Simon Hodson, said: “We are delighted to be launching DAC Beachcroft Scotland, whose team shares the same dedication to client care, business relationships and quality service as all our DAC Beachcroft locations. This move enables us to provide our insurance clients with an even more distinctive, full-service offering while also allowing us to service our growing corporate client base, many of which have operations north of the border.”
He added: “These are exciting times for DAC Beachcroft and this initiative is a significant step in our strategy of becoming the leading UK and international provider of legal services to the insurance sector.”
