About Jay Doraisamy
Jay’s expertise spans a broad spectrum of pension’s work, advising both companies and trustees. Most recently, her work has included advising on takeovers of sponsoring companies, significant benefit changes, employer debt issues and pensions issues in relation to US Chapter 11 proceedings. Jay is one of the country’s most experienced lawyers advising on utilities sector pension schemes, which are subject to special regimes put in place when they were privatised in the 1990s.
Jay was named by The Lawyer as a “Hot 100″ lawyer for “bagging key roles on the two transactions that really defined the pensions world” – namely representing the trustees of one of the Sea Containers pension fund schemes in persuading the Pensions Regulator to issue its first ever Financial Support Direction and advising the trustees of the Alliance Unichem pension scheme when KKR launched its takeover of Alliance Boots.
