Hall & Wilcox appoints Anthony Bradica to taxation practice

21 Jun, 2012

Hall & Wilcox has this week announced the appointment of highly experienced taxation lawyer Anthony Bradica to its tax team.

Mr Bradica’s appointment as the 35th partner at the firm means the Hall & Wilcox partnership has grown by nearly one quarter in size since January 2011.

Hall & Wilcox Managing Partner Tony Macvean said the appointment would strengthen an already formidable taxation practice.

“Our tax team has long been recognised for the quality of its work and ability to handle the most complex issues for its clients,” Mr Macvean said.

“Anthony’s appointment means we will be able to further that reputation.”

Mr Bradica was most recently at Deloitte’s Melbourne office where he was a Tax Consulting Partner as well as the head of Deloitte Lawyers, where he was responsible for leadership and management of the practice.

Mr Macvean said that Mr Bradica’s appointment was a product of growth across the firm.

“Our firm has consistently enjoyed double-digit growth in recent years. This growth is reflected in our internal and lateral appointments.

“Anthony has impeccable top-tier taxation experience and a strong track record of advising prestigious corporate clients.

“His addition will complement our firm’s ability to provide full service commercial advice to existing clients.

“Moreover, we are increasingly working with large public companies and Anthony’s experience will prove invaluable to these clients,” Mr Macvean said.

Mr Bradica said he was looking forward to growing the taxation practice.

“The Hall & Wilcox tax practice already has a great name, particularly in terms of the work it does for private business and high net worth families,” Mr Bradica said.

“I relish the opportunity to join the practice and add to the great work that is already taking place.”

Mr Macvean said this appointment to the taxation team is likely to be followed by others in the future, with the practice group on target to substantially increase its size in the next year.

“We intend to pursue growth in our tax practice for the foreseeable future.

“We believe there is a strong demand for high-end advice in the area, and we see Hall & Wilcox as being in a great position to satisfy that need in the market.

“If a suitable lateral appointment opportunity arises, we will strongly consider further expansion of the tax practice.”
