TLG Law – The Legal Group, one of the leading real estate and construction law firms in the UAE, has announced the appointment of Ammad Naser as Head of Real Estate. He joins the firm from Bangash Holdings where he was in house counsel.

Ammad has significant experience of the UK and Dubai real estate markets having spent five years in the real estate team at a leading UK national law firm before moving to Dubai. He specialises in legislative and regulatory issues for investors, owners and developers particularly advising on the 2007 Jointly Owned Property Law or Strata Law. He advises Owners associations and managers on mixed use, sub division, acquisition, sale and compliance with Strata legislation.

In addition, he focuses on portfolio management, acquisitions and sales, contract drafting and negotiation, and has advised lenders such as HBOS plc, Santander (UK) plc and Blemain Finance plc providing independent due diligence reports on high value development facilities.

Commenting on Ammad Nasser’s appointment, TLG managing partner Fareya Azfar said: “We are delighted that Ammad has joined us to head the TLG Real Estate team. The Strata legislation has strengthened investor and purchaser confidence in the Dubai real estate market and given owners a real stake in the management of their buildings. Ammad will be advising our investor and developer clients on both the advantages and on compliance with Strata laws.”

Ammad Nasser added: “It is a pleasure to join such a forward thinking law firm with a strong presence and reputation in the UAE’s real estate and construction sector. I believe my experience, both in house and in private practice, will have a significant impact on the breadth of advice available to our clients and will help to build our presence in these core market sectors as the UAE economies grow.”
