Thirty-three new counsel promotions for Allen & Overy

26 Apr, 2012

Thirty-three lawyers from across A&O’s international network have been promoted to counsel or PSL counsel. The promotions are in five practice groups – Banking, Corporate, ICM, Litigation and Tax – and 15 different offices covering every region in the firm’s international network.

The counsel role is a high-status position for senior lawyers, which recognises the valuable contribution they make to the business.

Managing partner Wim Dejonghe said: “Once again the range of countries and practice areas from which these promotions come reflects the diversity of our global network and expertise. This remains a real strength for us.

“I would like to congratulate every one of our new counsel and PSL counsel. Achieving this prominent position in the firm reflects that they have performed at the highest levels and will continue to contribute significantly to the success of our business.”

The promotions come into effect on 1 May.
