Promotions reinforce investment in global network

30 Mar, 2012

Allen & Overy has announced 23 promotions to partner across 14 offices in 12 countries. Nearly 40% of new partners are female and, for the fifth year running, the majority (73%) are based outside London, underlining Allen & Overy’s commitment to its global strategy.

Commenting on the promotions, managing partner Wim Dejonghe says: “These global promotions reflect the cross-border nature of our work and the strength of our international network, the largest of any of the elite law firms. The retention of our female lawyers through to partnership remains one of our key priorities and it is great to see us continue to retain such talent through to partnership. I would like to congratulate all 23 new partners on reaching such an important milestone, and look forward to working with them to continue to grow the business.”

The new partners come from the antitrust, banking, corporate, employment, capital markets and litigation practices. The promotions are effective from 1 May 2012.
