Blacks Expands Commercial Dispute Department

19 Mar, 2012

Blacks Solicitors LLP has appointed property litigation solicitor, James Teagle to support the expansion of its Commercial Dispute department and help handle its rise in commercial property cases.

Following the recently and highly publicised decline of the high street, James’s knowledge and experience will help bolster the department and strengthen its expertise to focus on business from the rise in Leeds City Centre developments, including new premises and relocations.

Having spent over five years at York-based law firm Langleys Solicitors, James brings with him a wealth of experience in high value commercial disputes; acting for household names, including developers and large brewery chains at a time when property sectors and the leisure industry were hit hard by the declining market.

His new role at Blacks will see him advise upon a range of commercial disputes, offering a tactical and commercial approach to litigation.

Managing Partner at Blacks, Chris Allen comments, “We believe in investing in the right people and James’s knowledge and hands on experience in the sector was paramount in our decision to appoint him. The department has grown significantly and we look forward to continued success with James on board.”

Commenting on his appointment with Blacks James Teagle said, “I am delighted to be part of such a dynamic, approachable and professional team, at a firm which has such a strong reputation in the city. I look forward to working closely with the team and moving the department forward.”

Blacks Solicitors LLP is a 15 partner law firm providing niche specialisation in company commercial, property and private client work, its forte being advising owner/managed businesses and individuals throughout the UK operating from two offices in Leeds with a staff of over 100.
