Appleby Announces New Office Managing Partner in Bermuda

Appleby, the world’s largest provider of offshore legal, fiduciary and administration services, is pleased to announce a new Office Managing Partner in Bermuda.

Kiernan Bell has been appointed as Appleby’s Bermuda Office Managing Partner, taking over from Shaun Morris who held the post for six years.  This change will take effect from 26 January 2012.  Kiernan will retain her role as Bermuda Head of Litigation & Insolvency and Shaun will return to a client-facing role as a senior partner in the Banking & Asset Finance team.

Kiernan says, “I am delighted to be taking on the challenge of leading the team in Bermuda. Bermuda as a jurisdiction is an integral part of the Appleby Group and I look forward to further strengthening Appleby’s position both in the Bermuda and international markets.  I would like to thank Shaun for his solid leadership and it is great that he will be available as a resource to offer advice and support.”  Shaun adds “It has been a distinct privilege and an honour for me to serve as Office Managing Partner. I look forward to working with Kiernan and I wish her all the best in her new role.”

Appleby’s Group Managing Partner, Michael O’Connell, commented “I am delighted that Kiernan is taking on the role of Bermuda Office Managing Partner and that we retain Shaun Morris as a valuable partner in our Banking & Asset Finance team.  Kiernan is a strong leader and I look forward to working with her as we take Appleby from strength to strength.”
