Murray Armes, a Member of ArbDB, the International Arbitration and Dispute Board Chambers, has been appointed as Secretary of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (DRBF) and a Member of the Executive Board of Directors of the DRBF. The DRBF is a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting the avoidance and resolution of disputes worldwide using the unique and proven Dispute Resolution Board (DRB) method.
The DRBF provides assistance with the worldwide application of the DRB method by providing general advice and suggestions tailored for the conditions and practices existing in local areas. The DRBF welcomes and supports activities of its members’ local chapters as an important means of increasing relevance of the method to each locality; a notion championed by Murray.
Murray is already well known to DRBF having previously filled the position of UK Country Representative and Region 2 board member. Within this role he organised international conferences, carried out training in FIDIC contracts in several places around the world and international dispute resolution, as well as regularly giving presentations to other organisations. In fact, Murray was the first DRBF member to organise DRBF regional meetings in his locality. Murray will no doubt continue with this unrelenting support and spirit in his new role as Secretary.
