Sackers hires two new solicitors
Sacker & Partners LLP (“Sackers”), the UK’s leading specialist pensions law firm, has appointed Joanna Smith and Sarah Henderson as solicitors.
Joanna joins the firm from Hogan Lovells International LLP, where she was a Senior Associate in the Pensions Group, advising companies and trustees on benefit changes, pension scheme mergers, corporate transactions and the day to day running of pension arrangements.
Sarah joins the firm from SNR Denton UK LLP, where she was a trainee solicitor for two years. Her pensions experience there involved advising trustees and companies operating large occupational pension schemes and assessing the impact of new law on those schemes. She has also gained experience of complex PPF issues.
In their role at Sackers, both solicitors will advise on general pensions arrangements as well as supporting Sackers’ new trustee support business “Sackers Support Services”.
Ian Pittaway, senior partner, Sackers, comments: “Both Sarah and Joanna are strong additions to our expanding team of pensions lawyers. We have recruited five solicitors this year, with more to follow over the coming months, demonstrating how Sackers continues to go from strength to strength.”
