Seven new partners at Gide Loyrette Nouel


Gide Loyrette Nouel (“GLN”) is pleased to announce the appointment of seven new equity partners, effective from 1 January 2012. These promotions concern the Intellectual Property / Telecommunications, Media and Technology; Real Estate; Competition / International Trade; Employment Law; Banking & Finance; and Mergers & Acquisitions / Corporate firmwide practice groups.

Intellectual Property / Telecommunications, Media & Technology

Raphaëlle Dequiré-Portier advises clients on patent and trademark law matters and related disputes. She has a wide range of experience in domestic and pan- European dispute proceedings concerning the infringement and validity of patents. Her practice also encompasses copyright and unfair competition law issues. She holds a postgraduate degree (DESS) in Industrial Property from the University of Paris II.


  • Hugues Moreau

Gide Loyrette Nouel Warsaw

Real Estate

Currently based at the Firm’s Warsaw office (Poland), Hugues Moreau advises clients in the real estate sector and specialises in all aspects of mergers and acquisitions, with a particular focus on acquisitions/disposals, sale & lease-back, financing and asset management of property portfolios and holding vehicles. He also acts as counsel to international investors and industrial undertakings which are present in Poland or seeking to establish a foothold in the country. Admitted to the Paris Bar, Hugues Moreau holds an LL.M. in International Business Law and postgraduate degrees (DJCE, DESS and maîtrise) in corporate and British law. 


  • Emmanuel Reille

Competition / International Trade

Emmanuel Reille specialises in all issues, including disputes, with regard to French and European competition law as well as notifications of concentrations to the European Commission and the French Competition Authority. He also assists clients before the courts in trade disputes (unfair competition, breach of commercial relations, etc.). Emmanuel holds a postgraduate degree (DESS) in European Law from the University of Paris X-Nanterre and an LL.B. from the University of Kent, Canterbury.


  •    Renaud Rossa

Mergers & Acquisitions / Corporate 

Renaud Rossa specialises in corporate law matters and advises mainly on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and setting up joint ventures in France and other countries. He has gained wide-ranging expertise acting as counsel to clients in the industrial, banking and telecoms sectors. He worked at the Firm’s Shanghai office for eighteen months where he gained extensive experience in the area of foreign investment in China. Admitted to the Paris Bar, Renaud holds a postgraduate degree (DEA) in Business and Economic Law from the University of Paris I and a postgraduate degree (DESS) in Business Administration from IAE – Paris I.


  • Foulques de Rostolan

Employment Law

Foulques de Rostolan has extensive expertise in restructuring operations and transfers of undertakings (collective redundancies, outsourcing, etc.) as well as in executive management issues (incentive schemes, termination, etc.). He regularly assists clients with employment-related issues within the scope of corporate operations (mergers, acquisitions, public offerings, etc.) and represents their interests in litigation before the courts. Foulques de Rostolan is a graduate of HEC, majoring in Legal and Tax Strategy, and holds a postgraduate degree (DESS) in International Taxation from the University of Paris II.

Banking & Finance

Rémi Tabbagh specialises in real estate structured finance transactions. He advises clients on structuring, drafting, negotiating and restructuring complex financing transactions. Rémi holds a postgraduate degree (Magistère) in Business Law and a postgraduate degree (DESS) in Banking and Financial Law from the University of Paris I.


  •  Thomas Urlacher

Mergers & Acquisitions / Corporate

Thomas Urlacher is currently based in Beijing after having worked in the Firm’s Paris and Casablanca offices. He advises on mergers, acquisitions and participation- taking matters involving publicly and privately-owned companies. Thomas has significant experience in complex and high-profile international transactions, especially in the insurance, banking and financial sectors, as well as in the industrial field. He is currently advising several first-rate investors in relation to cross- border M&A transactions and joint venture arrangements in China. He is a graduate of the ESSEC business school and holds a postgraduate degree (DJCE–DESS) in Business Law from the University of Strasbourg III.
