AMERICAN AIRLINES BANKRUPTCY

AMR Corp. and its U.S. subsidiaries, including American Airlines and American Eagle, has filed for bankruptcy after the filing of Chapter 11 papers in New York today, with Weil, Gotshal & Manges as lad counsel, according to the Wall Street Journal.

 

The filing lists assets of $24.7 billion and $29.6 billion in debt, reports say.

 

Other law firms involved in this include Paul Hastings, Debevoise & Plimpton and the Groom Law Group, DealBook reports.
