PBBR welcome new partner and new associate
PBBR has strenghened its team by welcoming Alexandre Jardim as an equity partner. This move will add to and complement PBBR’s Banking, Financial, Capital Markets, Private Equity and Mergers and Acquisitions practice areas.
With the arrival of Alexandre Jardim, who brings with him associate lawyer Patrícia Costa Gomes, PBBR has taken a significant step forward in its strategy of affirmation and sustained growth, by consolidating and augmenting its expertise and its capacity to advise and support its clients in the practice areas referred to.
As a consequence of the arrival of Alexandre Jardim, the firm has changed its name to “Pedro Pinto, Bessa Monteiro, Reis, Branco, Alexandre Jardim & Associados – Sociedade de Advogados, R.L.”, but will retain the brand name “PBBR”.
Between 1990 and 2001, Alexandre Jardim was the Director in charge of the Legal Department at Banco Espírito Santo de Investimento, SA. In 2001, he became a partner at Serra Lopes, Cortes Martins & Associados, where he was in charge of the Banking, Finance and Private Equity practice areas.
Alexandre Jardim provides legal assistance to banks, bank syndicates and large corporations in a wide range of credit transactions – both domestic and international – such as acquisition finance, asset finance, project finance, syndicate loans and club deals.
Alexandre Jardim has been active in advising clients in capital markets transactions focusing on the issuance and placement of both equity and debt securities and including the launching of MTN programs, private and public securities offers, commercial paper, other type of securities, listing and de-listing transactions.
Recently Alexandre Jardim has been very active in advising financial institutions, special funds and large corporations in structuring and implementing financial and corporate restructuring transactions related with distressed assets.
Alexandre Jardim is particularly active in advising all type of private equity players (Management Companies, Funds, Business Angels) in all type of private equity transactions (e.g. MBI, MBO, BIMBO).
